in the past few days I’ve been seeing how fast I can win a game of Solitaire (standard 3 card draw) on my computer. I don’t tend to go for time, so I couldn’t tell you. I might have a go later on and report back. But I prefer the “Vegas” scoring, where I see if I can beat the game in monetary terms. Currently, I’m up around £170, which is a reasonable long-term average. I would be very tempted to play the game if I ever saw it at a casino with the same rules, but I suspect it doesn’t exist as it appears there is a positive expectation even for a relatively unskilled player like me (the skill comes in remembering what cards have been shown the first time you go through the pack, in case an opportunity for an informed strategic decision then comes up later).
