The 2 dollars the bellboy kept is not ADDED to the $27 the travelers paid, it is SUBTRACTED from it. There is no missing dollar. Just my guess on the missing O.P. My quack don’t echo, either! ---

He was a midget. On rainy days, he carried his umbrella with him and could push the button for his uppermost floor on the elevator. Or: When he was stranded on the island and ate the meat, they TOLD him it was albatross. It was actually his dead wife. Or: He was a baseball player. The men with masks were the ump and the catcher. It would take 346 days, but you have to tunnel under the center house. Of course, you could alway go around the long way, but what would be the point? ---

Hehe Sorry 'bout that. My ISP sucks… You guys are hilarious, though 🙂 Anyway, I was surfing around and found this riddle, but no answer. I give up, its time for the collective genius of the sdmb to figure it out! When asked this riddle, 80% of kindergarten students got the answer, compared to 17% of Stanford University seniors. \*What is greater than God, More evil than the devil, The poor have it, The rich need it, And if you eat it, you’ll die?
