# Some musings on E.T., the extraterrestrial...

I’ve never managed to see the whole thing straight through. I won’t stay and watch it if I have a choice. When I can’t wander away from it I tend to fall asleep.

I’m pretty ambivalent about it, but I remember when it came out, thinking it was going to be a horror movie. I don’t know why. Probably because the notion of friendly aliens was new, and partly because the font on the movie poster looked like a horror movie font (I think it was supposed to be a kid writing in crayon, but it looked violently scratched in to me).
