I’m pretty ambivalent about it, but I remember when it came out, thinking it was going to be a horror movie. I don’t know why. Probably because the notion of friendly aliens was new, and partly because the font on the movie poster looked like a horror movie font (I think it was supposed to be a kid writing in crayon, but it looked violently scratched in to me).
