As I said, he could have been quietly discriminating for years, and just recently felt comfortable enough to be more blatant. It’s not implausible that he could have rejected applications from people of color for many years without being called out for it. Generally it’s much, much easier to refuse to lease an apartment to a person (citing credit concerns or some other excuse) than to evict them once you let them in. He could have kept his place segregated by that method without having to be blatant about it. Again, I’m just explaining how it’s **possible** his recent actions came about because of the Trump administration, the alt right, and so on. The normalization of a step back in civil rights. But like you, I don’t really know either way… ---
