[Here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=442511) . Even when the mods go triggery-happy with the close switch, isn’t it customary for them to leave some sort of explanation? This is some bullshit. That post is nowhere **near** as stupid as 98.9% of posts in MPSIMS, and yet it was closed. MPSIMS exists for creating insane and pointless fucking posts. ---

This is the second time a mod has specifically targeted me for abuse or non-help. There was a GD thread where someone called me a troll, which is unfair, and I asked the mod to reprimand them. They didn’t. ---

Well, at least **SkipMagic** finally posted a response in that thread (as insulting as it is). Watching that thread locked and dropping down the page is like watching a bag of kittens tied with rocks and thrown into the Hudson River. We can take this to GD or whatever, but “jungle fever” is a readily used term and is NOT offensive or verboten. ---

In the movie, the words “jungle fever” are used to _derisively_ describe people who date outside their race and to castigate them. You do know that the use of a term in art, e.g., the name of a movie, (a) in this case, denotes this derision, and (b) does not, as SkipMagic mentioned, give you, or me, license to use it in general conversation. But you knew this already. ---
