The whole point of CPR is that they’re not breathing, so how dead is too dead? It’s good to have some line. But, yes, if the head’s detached there’s no point. Statistically there’s little enough point anyway. ---

It’s a little more than that. Their heart has stopped pumping too. Clinically, they are dead. I’m not going to go find the head, but I’ll flip ya for it. ---

I believe natural life doesn’t end until you’ve spent 10 minutes trying to find the head. After that, you have to give up. Just like in golf. ---
