My memory of the lotus boob (photoshopped) image has faded. So in a sense, I am in the process of unseeing it. I don’t intend to refresh the memory by seeing it again. ---

I have this uncanny ability to “feel” what I see in a visceral sense. Doesn’t matter if it’s faked, in fact, that’s why I think I can get into movies and television to the degree I do, but good lord… I wanted to peel my skin off when I saw Lotus Boobs. ---

A customer where I work left her prescriptions to be filled… but in the process of removing them from her bag also removed her colonoscopy report, complete with “internal” photographs. (I guess, would they really do this? It had a written report with photos of what looked like the inside of some sort of body cavity.) Any “colonoscopers” out there? Anyway we put them in an envelope and said “Oh, you accidentally left these behind.” From the look on her face I guess that they were what they looked like. ---

My second Hubby watched the video of some sort of scoping done of his esophogus and stomach. He said it was all nice and bright pink, kind of glassy looking. ---

Snopes has a lot of disturbing images - real and Photoshopped - is one thing I’ve noticed. I click on the articles tagged “DISTURBING IMAGE WARNING” only about half the time (my trainwreck reflex is not fully engaged, I guess), but every one of them has justified that tag, for sure. The one that really truly disturbed me one time was the photo of the man who tried to jump a fence, caught his chin or something on a wrought iron fence spike, and was decapitated as a result, the fence spike having skewered his head off. Sadly, that photo was real :eek: ---

Warning: TMI. Those who do not wish to read about problems with ladyparts may skip to the next post. When my daughter was born, I had a C-section due to having a large uterine fibroid blocking the birth canal, plus the baby was breech. My OB-GYN thoughtfully took a Polaroid of the fibroid (which is still there, BTW) and put it in my records. To this day I can’t bring myself to look at it. ---

While visiting China, I was given a lotus blossom from which one ate the seeds as a snack/treat/candy/whatever. I quite enjoyed it; the seeds were actually pretty good. I doubt I’ll ever be able to enjoy another one, though, even if I get the opportunity. I’ve GOT to stop blindly Googling all the stuff you guys throw out to tempt me. ---

[/QUOTE] I was also given a number of photos of my innermost self. I put them in my medical file, so I can compare them to the next set I get. They’re not something that I’d put in a photo album and leave out for unsuspecting visitors. ---
