So… where’s the name sunbear come from? I remember from your posts that you have kids, so I’m assuming that it isn’t the ‘bear’ that seems to be a euphemism for ‘gay’.

Not 11 kids, shoe size.
Some coworkers/students went to a zoo in California in 1981 or so. They didn’t ask me to come along. I wore an odd size discarded black leather jacket in lab. When they came back they said I looked like the sunbear they had seen. I was sunbear for a year or two as a result. When I joined here, there were a lot of critters, so I took it again. Now it’s too late to change.
