there is a new book out, the first of a series by weis and hickman, that looks to make the dragonlance spinoffs more bearable.
essentaly, right before chaos stomps tasselhoff into a blood splat, tas uses that time travel rod to go forward to see how things turn out after his death.
when he reaches the future, he sort of says ‘WTF?!?’ and exclaims that things are all messed up from the last time he came to the future, and he tries to figure out what is happening, and correct it.
I’m not sure what the name of the new series is though. i think it might be The Souls War.
Oops!
i forgot to say that it also tries to clear up the bad spinoffs by showing that they never really happened- it was all just part of a kink in the flow of time.
Monstre, I’m not sure if that’s it. Anyone else recognize those plot events? Girl turns out to be a dragon? Guy goes in Labrynth?
I don’t remember if it was minotaur, but perhaps. I will check it out. Thanks.
I am a tremendous fan of Hambly. (If I had the time, I might even read her Romance novels.) However, I defy anyone to defend the utter deus ex machina resolution she plopped into the end ot the Dark trilogy.
