I was confused by this thread title, too.
Somerset, PA is the town at the PA Turnpike exit that allows one to visit the Flight 93 crash site from 9-11 and the Quecreek Mine, where the miners were recently rescued.
It will undoubtedly get very crowded there over the next few weeks, with visitors coming from all over to pay their respects or just to see the sites.
Best wishes to the happy couple though, and I hope you have a good time.
You could beg Terry Pratchett to stop writing really poor spoofs of the latest film he’s seen?
Oh please, please do that, my dad keeps buying them, and I feel compelled to read them… pleasey Stevie?
Then you could drink some Cider to celebrate…

I’d recommend a visit to Wokey hole - definitely worth it.

No; Stone Island.
Burberry is so last year.
I’ve also got an elderly wet hen of a ‘ello me ol’ luvver relative down that way. I suspect you’re right to avoid the water, cider seems so much safer.
I like visiting Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury - usually around festival time, so I’d encourage you to not rely on my judgement to heavily.
En tha’s it, ennit.
Well. The time has come…
Well, not yet, but tomorrow will be spent in preparations of various kinds. Then it’s off to Taunton. “No more playing on the Internet for you, young man, none of that having fun and exchanging ideas - now go and be sociable with your relatives - go and talk to your great aunt, I think she’s not dead yet.”
So. If I may summarize the suggestions above; the best things to do in Taunton are i) drink cider, and ii) go somewhere else… OK, I can cope with this. My best plan, I think, is to drink heavily, suck up to my rich uncle, and, if at all possible, try to shag one of the bridesmaids. Wish me luck.
A report on the debacle may be forthcoming, if it’s sufficiently amusing…
