Yesterday, while cramming a Burger King sourdough bacon cheeseburger into my mouth, I felt a strange sensation on the roof of my mouth. The burger wasn’t hot but I felt a blistery feeling and soon after there were two bubble-like protrusions on the roof of my mouth, one on each side. After some exploration I found that I could run my finger along my palate and make the bubble move. By this time I’m going out of my mind because stuff like this just doesn’t sit well with me. When I woke up today the bubbles apparently merged into one common super bubble. I pressed my tongue against it and it burst. I expected liquid or something to spray out but nothing happened. So I used my finger and out came a gelatinous substance that was like putty. If it didn’t come out of my mouth, I’d swear it was a booger! A large one! I don’t have a clue what’s going on. I’m not ruling out some kind of alien colony of…well …aliens! Has anyone ever heard of this? I’m seeing the doctor tuesday and I’m only sexually active with my wife (if that helps) ---

I’m no doctor, but it sounds to me like a heat blister that got infected. ---

I had something like that once, but it was on the inside of my bottom lip. It felt like a small hard blister. Mine was only about 3mm in diameter. I ended up using a sterilzed pin to pop it. It oozed for a couple minutes, then stopped. A few days later it was completely healed. It never concerned me and I’ve never had anything like it since. What you describe would wig me out too. Definately consult a doctor or dentist about it. ---

I always get that gooey stuff after a heat blister pops. It’s just the dead skin that’s come off. At least, that’s what it is with me. ---

No…I’m telling you: this was alien. It’s slightly possible that it’s some result of my palate stretching because I’m using invisalign braces. But I’ve BEEN using them and never had any thing like this. I’m sure it’s not skin and it didn’t ooze. It was almost solid, but malable. It was like some freaky sideshow. I’m serious. I even looked up diagrams of sinuses on google but they get far too involved to serve my immediate needs. eck. ---

No, tonslis were removed when I was a little kid. This was deifinetely something that was sudden and there’s no smell. I have great breath! Great I say! 😃 ---

It could have been an abscessed salivary gland. It may not be an infection, but a sterile absess. The cause might be chronic dehydration.
