I think it’s funny that an ad on that page shows a traveling black spot caused by the shadow of a transiting moon. I’m assuming that cause has been checked and discounted. ---

Darn, it seems Hubble is still being calibrated, any chance they would point to Jupiter and damn the calibration and get some images? ---

Oh don’t worry, that was just the test run of my von Neumann machines, wanted to make sure the “Off” button worked, would have been embarrassingly fatal if it didn’t and I tried it on Earth and such, you know how it is. It’s always a good thing when something hits Jupiter. It means one less potential terrestrial impact scenario. Better Jupiter than us, I say. ---

I swear I’m not a misanthropic sociopath, but I have always been fascinated by impact events. I think it started when, as a young kid, I first read about the Tunguska explosion. Don’t get me wrong, I am LOVING life, but post-apocalyptic fiction has created a soft spot in my heart for a near ELE during my lifetime. Oh well. ---
