# Something is wrong when Carson Daily is playing all the good music

The two times I’ve tuned into his program, Last Call, there has been a great live musical act, much better than the crap that gets radio airplay or makes it on Jay Leno or SNL. The two shows I saw had performances by The Streets, and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Anyone else catch a good show? Why the hell is this pop loser getting solid underground acts? You’d think the stink of TRL would send them running.

And how did he get a talk show in the first place? He doesn’t even look people in the eye while he’s interviewing them. Isn’t that the first friggen rule of interviewing? James Lipton must be appalled.

Frankly, the general high quality of the Carson Daly show has me deeply, deeply disturbed.
