We should all thank God and/or our respecive dieties or spirits that our Wally had brought Amy to us. Otherwise, we may never have known why our good friend disappeared quite suddenly. Thank God for this small amount of closure. Love, –Tim ---

Something else to consider. I am sure I am not alone when I say that if I were to die tomorrow there is no one IRL who would know about my participation in this board. I would just disappear from the board. Should we consider some type of plan that would let others know? ---

Please tell me that all of you have a plan to have someone notify the board in case something happens. I thank God Wally gave us Amy, but what if he hadn’t? I don’t want any of you to disappear one day without knowing. ---

If I don’t post anything for a week, assume I am either on my way to fertilizing the sod, wandering the earth in search of personal fulfillment, or on vacation and soon to be posting again. I really hope it is the vacation thing. ---

I made my sister register. And since everyone I know has to listen to me talk about all of you all the time, I’m sure she’d let you know. To prove my point, my friend from work called last night, right after I got off line. I was still crying and told her Wally died. SHE KNEW WHO I MEANT! Even though she has never even read this board. Well, I’m glad that Dragonlady at least has someone she’s able to share this with–I shared it at lunchtime just now, with someone who I THOUGHT would understand, and his reaction was, well, frankly mocking. “You’re upset because some guy you never met, you don’t even know what his real name was or where he lived or what he did for a living, and all he ever said was, ‘putz’, this guy dies and you’re upset?” I don’t usually get angry with this person, but I stood there and shouted at him in front of people. I’ve got tears in my eyes now, remembering. He left, still not getting it, but “humoring” me. I hate being “humored”. :wally No, that doesn’t quite do it–mods, I think we also need a serious Wally smilie, with a mad face or X-eyebrows or something. Maybe Satan’s got one we can use… ---

Luckily, the first friend I told was very understanding about it. Probably because I met her online first. And after this, I’m actually putting a note in my safe deposit box with emails of people to contact. Given that over half of my friends are online now…seems like the thing to do. ---
