# Sometimes I have trouble closing a window on Windows XP

Fairly often I have trouble closing a window in Windows XP. It will not close by any means that I know of except for task manager interupting it and closing it(ctrl +alt+Delete).

I have scanned for viruses, I have a firewall, and I have “Adaware” for trojan horse spyware.No luck there!

This isn’t a major problem but can get old after awhile.Any ideas how to fix?

What kind of window? Is it an application? If so, which?

Is it perhaps a child window to some other application?

It happens in a very random way, but not all are child windows some are first open. It can happen at any time for no apperant reason.

Is it a blank window, with nothing else in it? Blank menu bar, etc., etc.? Or is it just a regular application window, like Explorer, Word?
