JpnGal and I just watched the Jennifer Aniston film “Dumplin’” on Netflix last week. The idol of the main character is Dolly Parton, who also co-produced the film. Anyway, JpnGal wasn’t too familiar with Dolly Parton so we watched some YouTube videos of her performing. Of course, her duet with Kenny singing “Islands in the Stream” came on. And she recognized him immediately. Surprisingly, she remembered him as that “rotisserie chicken” guy. About 20 years ago, there used to be a few [Kenny Rogers Roasters](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Rogers_Roasters) restaurants in Japan. She still talks about how much she enjoyed eating there. ---
