OK, so I want to sell some stuff on eBay, something I haven’t done in months. I go into the accounts section, because I no longer have the credit card it thinks I have. WHen I try to change my information, I need my billpoint ID and security code…what the hell is that? I’m sure it’s something I received months ago I deleted…OK, so to get it back I have to supply mt email address…done. After that it asks me for an answer to a secret question, OK, the question was easy, got that. It also wants my old credit card number. I don’t know that. That credit card is gone. Damn.

There are times when security measure go TOO far. I think that thee fact that I’m logged in to eBay with my password, I know the answer to the secret question, and the fact that the ID and code are going to MY email address, which only I have the password for is enough. How many people memorize their old credit card numbers? Now what do I do? Crud…

Maybe I can just make a new account…but I don’t think so cause I’m pretty sure it asks for social security numbers…I’ll see…

Maybe you have some old credit card receipts or bills around that would have the old account number on them?
