Song from 'OC' - "Hallelujah" where else have I heard it? (possibly UK only)

It’s the most beautiful song, especially Buckley’s version. It’s the sigh at the start that gets me every time.

Obscure UK fact, it was the song chosen by BBC Radio 1’s Mark and Lard to mark the 1 year anniversary of 9/11.

HELL YEAH Buckley’s version is the best! He was a modern day bard! says SanguineSpider, who is a HUGE Buckley fan, God rest his soul

After ‘Irishgirls’ fact about Mark and Lard playing Hallelujah I have to say they have gone up in my estimation immediatly. I love the Buckley version. I recently wrote a short 250 word review about Grace and the majority of the piece was taken up by the song, and last goodbye, which is an equally amazing song; in fact this is almost becoming the Jeff Buckley appreciation thread…

Wow, I thought I hadn’t heard this song before, but then, as I was re-watching Basquiat tonight, it was in the credits. I justed checked the soundtrack listings, and it’s the last track - the John Cale version. I own the soundtrack… Makes me wonder if I ever played the cd to the end!

Homer J, yes… as it should be. Modern day bard, I tell ya!
