During the last few minutes of tonight’s show, “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear” played in the background. Female vocal, acoutstic guitar, slightly reworked melody line, apparently in a minor key. Who was singing that? (I really like her version.) ---

I wish I could answer this for you. I’ve been trying to figure it out since I heard it. Her voice was very familiar but I can’t place it. ---

I don’t know the answer. I just wanted you to know that I was fully prepared to watch Gray’s Anatomy tonight, even though I don’t like it so much (too implausable for me), just to support your son. You’re welcome. ---

I haven’t seen the episode yet – watched the Survivor finale and taped it – but there’s a blogger who usually has all the music identified by Monday. I’ll check there tomorrow and come back and let you know if they’ve figured it out. ---

I didn’t see the show, but the version that **Larry Mudd** linked to, is the same version I’ve always heard. Not in a minor key or anything. ---

Thanks, **Larry** , that’s a nice rendition, but definitely not what I heard last night. The voice, guitar, and melody don’t sound the same to me; and very specifically I remember the line “To hear the angels sing” being repeated at the close of the song. ---

Episode 12 is finally up on the link provided by **Achren** (thank you for that), and it lists **Sixpence None the Richer.** Looks like **mrunlucky** got lucky – or knew what he was talking about. Thanks all for your help.
