1. In “Ode to Billie Joe,” what prank did Billie Joe play on Bobbie Gentry?
2. In “Delaware,” by Perry Como, what sin did Wiscon commit?
3. In “Honesty,” what doesn’t Billy Joel want a pretty face to tell him?
4. In “Crocodile Rock,” what was the name of Elton John’s girlfriend?
5. In “Save the Best for Last,” what astronomical impossibility does Vanessa Williams mention?

I only know the answer to number 4…Suzie, as in “Me and Suzie had so much fun…”
My question is probably an easy one: What else will eat ivy?

Off the top of my head (as lyric trivia should be):
3 - Pretty lies (not sure about this one)
4 - Suzie. “I remember when rock was young, me and Suzie had so much fun…”
5 - Sometimes the sun goes 'round the moon. (Snow coming down in June is meteorological, and pretty lame as far as rare occurances go, at least living further north)

First two I have no idea. Am I supposed to add my own?

1. Put a frog down her back at the Carroll County picture show

2. Judy?

1. Alanis Morisette let us know that she has one “Hand In My Pocket.” Name three of the five things the other hand does. (Bonus points for more)

2. What classic story do the lyrics obliquely reference (and video outright state) in Blues Traveler “Run-Around”?

3. What hair color does Bob Seger’s fuckbuddy have in “Night Moves”?

4. Two (and a half) parter: What town will REM not go back to? And where do both Elvis Costello and Counting Crows both hate to tread?

5. What saint is “higher than the moon” to Joan Osborne?

That should be a nice little sample to start.

1, 2, 5 are correct.
4 is correct on the first part, not the second.
3 is still up for grabs.

That’s the one. The Counting Crows clue couldn’t stand on its own, as their track [Chelsea](http://www.anna-begins.com/lyrics/?id=rare#chelsea) was only released as a hidden bonus track on _Across A Wire_.

Seger’s pal had black hair.
No Perry Como fans? Wiscon sinned by stealing a new brass key. Took me a fair while to figure that one out, but I was younger back then.

A few of my own:

NDP 1) In “Maggie’s Farm” by Bob Dylan, how old is Maggie’s mother and what age does she claim to be?

NDP 2) In “Fight the Power” by Public Enemy, who “never meant shit” to Chuck D?

NDP 3) In “Glass Onion” by the Beatles, who did they say was the walrus?

NDP 4) In “19th Nervous Breakdown” by the Rolling Stones, the father of the person Mick Jagger was singing out did what for a living?

The Walrus was Paul.

Here’s a couple few:

In _Take It Easy_, by The Eagles, how many women are on the narrator’s mind, and what do they want to do to him?

What does the Iron Man do while he stares at the world, according to Black Sabbath?

While he’s drying in the cold sun, what is Aqualung watching?

_Take It Easy_ - Seven. Four that want to own (owe?), two that want to stone, one says she’s a friend.
_Aqualung_ - Frilly panties. Enough to make me never sing that song at karaoke…

1. Your father’s still perfecting ways of making sealing wax.
