In “The Mikado”, Gilbert & Sullivan has the Mikado paint a certain crimal painted “like a nigger” in permanant blackberry juice. In modern time they are “painted with vigor”. ---

Women don’t like the implication of not having a choice anymore than slaves would have. Why should they? Buffet was sensitive to that issue. BTW, it was a male who taught me not to use words like “I will let you…” with anyone, male or female. I’m _still_ breaking the habit after thirty years. ---
