Neither do I! I have done some research in the past and still haven’t found the original recording or who did it in the first place.

[Here is video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYa49zkTD-E) from one of the two composers of the song, Walter Egan, where he talks about how Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris came to record it. I can find no record of The Flying Burrito Brothers having recorded it. The other composer is Tom Guidera.

_Blue Skies_ - by Irving Berlin (recorded by many)
_Hurricane_\* - Bob Dylan

- Yes, I know it’s not actually about a hurricane. The question is about song titles.

> However, in 1972 country rock icons Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris opted to record “Hearts of Fire,” a song Egan wrote, for Parsons’ Grievous Angel. Scheduled for release in 1973, Angel was delayed when Parsons died of a drug overdose. The album would ultimately be regarded as one of the finest ever made, but it sold poorly and it lead to only a handful of session work gigs for Egan.

Thank you very much, much appreciated. I never had the idea to search for the songwriter, I had the impression that “Hearts On Fire” was another older and classic country duet Gram and Emmylou covered.
