In a strange sequence of songs that just randomly played in a row on my iPod, I’m wondering how many more songs out there are about creepy, fetishy, offbeat, weird types…maybe my iPod is trying to tell me something 😉 Madness - In the Middle of the Night Pink Floyd - Arnold Layne The Damned - Grimly Fiendish Oingo Boingo - Little Girls ---

The one by the Toadies - Possum Garden or something? - where the narrator is telling his love interest how she’ll live forever and never age - because he’ll kill her and she’ll be in his memory…beyond creepy but a great song… “And I will treat you well, my sweet angel, so help me Jesus…” Ew. On review - simulpost on the Toadies - is that a different song? The one I am thinking of is Possum Kingdom… ---

[“Crazy Mary” - Victoria Williams](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bgQjR8KlD0) _She lived on the curve in the road In an old tar paper shack. On the south side of the town On the wrong side of the tracks. Sometimes on the way into town We’d say, “Mama can we stop and give her a ride?” Sometimes we did But her hands flew from her side. “Jubilee” - 10,000 Maniacs \*He fills the flower vases, trims the candle bases takes small change from the poor box. Tyler has the key. … Alone in the night he mocks the arms of the preacher raised to the ceiling, “Tell God your pain.” To him the world’s defiled. “Straw Hat and Dirty Old Hank” by **Barenaked Ladies** It’s about a stalker, and is partially based on a stalker that \*\*Anne Murray \*\* had once, even borrowing a few lines directly from some of her songs. Also, I don’t know the name of it but I remember a novelty song back in the late 80’s/early 90’s about a pervy clown. Maybe somebody else here will remember it. Edited to add: Also, “Stan” by \*\*Eminem \*\* is about an obsessed fan. ---
