I was thinking about this thread earlier, and came up with a song about a weird/creepy/perhaps mentally ill girl: “Around Here” by Counting Crows. \*Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand She says she’d like to meet a boy who looks like Elvis… She parks her car outside my house Takes her clothes off Says she’s close to understanding Jesus… She looks up at the building Says she’s thinking of jumping She says she’s tired of life She must be tired of something…\* Sorry if I overquoted the lyrics. Mods, feel free to delete if I did so. Another one I just thought of is “St. Theresa” by Joan Osborne. The way I interpret the lyrics, it’s about a crack whore, and therefore may not be a good fit for this thread. ---
