Hmmm. Plenty of songs about someone _going_ to somewhere; not so many about someone _coming_ to somewhere, eh? I’ll include both songs about coming somewhere (in the first person), and someone else coming to where the singer is (a la Santa Claus Is Coming To Town). **The Angels** , _My Boyfriend’s Back_ “My boyfriend’s back, and you’re gonna be in trouble…” **The Beatles** , _Back In The USSR_\* **Guns ‘n’ Roses** , _Welcome To The Jungle_ **U2** , _Angel of Harlem_ “It was a cold and wet December day When we touched the ground at JFK Snow was melting on the ground, On BLS I heard the sound – of an angel…” **Simon and Garfunkel** , _America_ “Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike They’ve all come, to look for America…” **The Rolling Stones** , _Can’t You Hear Me Knocking?_ (OK, that’s a bit of a stretch) ---

I thought about _Graceland_ but always read it as an allegorical destination. On the other hand, seeing mention of it brings up **Marc Cohn** , _Walking In Memphis_: “Put on my blue suede shoes, and I boarded the plane Touched down in the land of the Delta blues, In the middle of the pouring rain” ---
