Can’t remember which one but a Jimmy Buffett song from 20+ years ago had this:
“When I finished that last line I put the book on a shelf with my heart in it…”
Not exclusively about reading but I liked that sentiment.
Well, if we’re going there:
When I was a child and would be reading around the house and my father saw me, he would break into a song called, “I Read a Book” with a Jimmy Durante accent. I have since found out that Durante had a hit with the song.
