**10-9-8** by _Face-to-Face_- I remember seeing the video on MTV waaaaay back in the 80’s. I even had the cassette album. But once that was lost I never heard that song again. I’ve never found it or a reference online to it ever. Yeah, theres a band called _Face-to-Face_, but I’m not even sure if its the same band. I would love it if anyone else actually remembers this song.ot any songs/bands that they remember that have seemingly vanished?
Icehouse is great!

How about:

The Hooters
Scritti Politti
The Pursuit of Happiness
Boom Crash Opera
For me the Hooters are kinda local! I grew up in northern Delaware…about 40 minutes from Philly..so I heard the Hooters a lot. They played at a local bar when I swas a kid…The Stone Balloon in newark. (Delaware not NJ…the true newark is in delaware). I always thought the original version of “All you zombies” was a lot better than the one released on their breakout album.
I won this album off of a radio station back when I was young. Also vanished. I didn’t look at the video, wasn’t the lead singer kind of hot?

Someone also mentioned Donny Iris - a local around here. I hear Donny Iris on the radio at least twice a week. A recent release “Black Dress” kicks some ass. “Leah” was on this morning, as was Donny (as a judge for “Hair Band Idol”).

Mine was Matthew Wilder “Break My Stride”. Several years ago, I declared this the “most popular song you will never, ever, hear again”. Within two weeks, I heard it on an insurance commercial.

I couldn’t name anything else about them though.

“Crash” was on the soundtrack for _Mr. Bean’s Holiday_. It would have been much cooler if The Primitives’ version had been used instead of a cover, but you take what you can get.
\*\*Icehouse/ Crazy \*\* by _Icehouse_- People remember Icehouse. But I’ll be darned if I can even find the song Crazy anywhere but places like “Limewire”. Either my Rhapsody and iTunes accounts are messed up or this band dropped off of the face of the earth. Strange since _Crazy_ was a really good song. At least I thought so. At least my neice remembers the song Icehouse. She thought it was amusing that the song was called **Icehouse** , by _Icehouse_ on an album called _ **Icehouse** _. (hey, she was like 8, back when we saw the video on MTV.)
Icehouse was great. I have “Man of Colors” (which has Crazy) and “Great Southern Land”.

Glass Moon’s “Killer at 25” gets played on the KSHE Klassics show on Sunday mornings a lot. Can’t say I have ever heard of the song “Blue Windows” though.

Icehouse “Crazy” still gets a lot of airplay in St Louis, both on the Classic Rock and Real Rock stations, IIRC.

I vaguely remember a song by The Catholic Girls on MTV, but I think the name of the song was “You’re making me, cry.” I think one of the “singers” also appeared in Penthouse magazine.

Not sure what happened to Quarterflash. I always thought “Find another fool to love you” was a great song. But rarely hear either of their two “hits” played anymore.

Anybody familiar with:
**Lake** : _Between the Lines; TIme Bomb; Chasing Colors; Angel in Disguise_
or
**Kayak** : _Starlight Dancer; I Want you to be Mine_?

Lush - Ladykillers

…

Romeo Void - Never Say Never
I associate Lush more with [“DeLuxe”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcLIZ9D5ZgA). They were also among the headliners of the second Lollapalooza tour in 1992.

As for Romeo Void, “A Girl in Trouble is a Temporary Thing” was probably a bigger hit. The fact that in the 80’s a band could still get away with having a female lead singer who was there entirely for her vocal abilities and not because she was also eye candy makes that seem like a long time ago.
Icehouse and the Hoodoo Gurus are pretty much still household names here in Oz. The Gurus’ song What’s My Scene was the theme for the enormously popular here, but shortlived in the U.S. (mainly cause they screwed up the concept) Thank God You’re Here.
Boom Crash Opera were huge in Australia in around 87-88, then Alternative and Grunge came into fashion, and they disappeared.

I’m still amazed when I meet anyone who’s a fan of, or even heard of Life, Sex & Death, Warrior Soul or The Galactic Cowboys.

This was actually my first concert so, since Lush was the first band, they were the first band I actually saw live. Very few people were around for their set at 2 pm, though.

Although it didn’t come out for two years after Lollapalooza, I still think of the song [“Hypocrite”](http://youtube.com/watch?v=buz5D8OWmRc) when I think of them.

One band I never knew anyone to hear of was The Other Ones, who had a video on MTV called “Holiday”. Saw the video one time, when it first came out around 1987, and never saw it again until just a few years ago. It is easily found on YouTube.

Finally found the CD the song was released from. Great album. Never knew they had a second CD until a couple of years ago, and I had to import it from Germany to get a copy. Great pop band.
