There are so many great B-sides on her singles that I wonder how those two got on albums, but gems like “Cooling” and “Upside Down” didn’t make the cut. Dogs of War isn’t. My pick for Pink Floyd though, would be Rick Wright’s contribution to the studio part of Ummagumma. I find it unlistenable. ---

“The Universal” by Blur. You can just see them sitting there cynically trying to write the #1-for-ten-weeks-in-a-row-sweeping-ballad, laughing all the time about how crap it really is. Even Justine from Elastica, who was Damon’s girlfriend at the time, publicly spoke about how dreadful it was. I _love_ Blur, but that song makes me puke. ---

“So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright” and “For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her” both by Simon and Garfunkel. I’m not sure I can put my finger on why exactly I hate those songs, but I can’t stand to listen to them. ---

Why oh why, for the love of God, did Aerosmith think “Pink” was the least bit worthy of studio time and inclusion on a CD? I didn’t think they could do any worse than “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing”, but sadly, they outdid themselves. And I have to agree with **racinchikki** , _St Anger_ is a horrendous joke. It’s as if Metallica got together and said, “We don’t want people getting our songs off the Internet for free, so let’s put out something so shitty that people won’t even want to download it!” When I first heard “Sour Girl”, my first thought was _this_ is Stone Temple Pilots?! No way! ---

This is not about a song specific to one particular artist, but I’ll squeeze it into this thread anyway: I love Linda Eder’s voice and have all of her CDs (except the Christmas one, which could send me off into a whole other songs-I-can’t-stand tirade…), but not even her voice can make “Over the Rainbow” tolerable for me. I know, everyone loves this song and there’s obviously something seriously wrong with me, but that’s how it is. It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears. Paradoxically, the one version I’ve heard that didn’t totally irritate me was by Kimberley Locke, an _American Idol_ contestant. Gah! ---

I love most things Radiohead have put out, but as soon as the opening notes of “Electioneering” start, I fumble for the stereo buttons. Gah. I don’t like “Exit Music (For a Film)” either. Cop Shoot Cop’s “Surprise Surprise” starts off with a great beat…and then the vocals start. Horror! ---

“Manitoba” by Frank Black and the Catholics. They’ve got a few songs I don’t love, but that’s the only one I actively dislike. It’s even a cool-sounding song; my problem is that the lyrics sound as if Richard Gere wrote them. ---

Whoops, didn’t even respond to the OP. Got caught up in the heat of moment, I guess… Not my all-time FAVORITE band, but I usually can’t go wrong with the Pixies, except for “Monkey Gone to Heaven.” The fact that it’s probably their most played song only adds to its irritablity. ---

There is one on almost every Madonna album. I’ll just run down the last few. **Music** : _I Deserve It_. A fabulous chorus wasted on a song that is completely pants. **GHV2** : _Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina_. I hate ALW with a firey passion. Just because my idol is singing that shite, doesn’t spin it into gold. **American Life** : _Nobody Knows Me_. That song is the most self-indulgent piece of crapola on the album, and on an album like _AL_, that’s saying something. ---
