Not widely-known though it should be is **Dave Brubeck’s** version of a song his brother wrote called “Theme for June”. It’s from the _Live from the Blue Note_ CD and it features some of the finest solo piano you’ll ever hear. This song alone is reason enough to get the CD. Buy it (or acquire it by some other means) NOW! ---

We could have also used “Pieces of April” by 3 Dog Night or “April Come She Willd” by Simon & Garfunkel. We need May and July. ---

Wake Up April by the Promise Ring. its funny how that album actually has a lot of wordplay on it, I had to choose between that and Costellos new one (which i am listening to right now) and actually got some wordplay along with it even though i didnt choose elvis initially. “Wake Up April, its been one cruel year”…i saw it coming a mile away but it still works (same thing on elvis’s new album, i saw wordplay amile away but it still works.) ---
