Ditto
_I got you babe_ and _Groundhog Day_,
_O Fortuna (Camina Burana)_ and _Excalibur_, _Also Sprach Zarathustra_ and _2001: A Space Odyssey_ and
_La Forza del Destino_ Overture and _Jean de Florette_
associations for me.

Also:
‘O mio babbino caro’ (Gianni Schicchi) with _A Room with a View_ but that’s kind of apt in a way…

And Frankie Valli: _Can’t Take My Eyes Off You_ always makes me think of Christopher Walken dancing around with a pool cue in _The Deerhunter_ and makes me feel kind of sad thinking about an innocent young guy not knowing what sort of mental horrors lay ahead. ☹

Thanks! A local car company has the front end of that on a loop of maybe the first four bars. Sacrilege!

The association for me is _She’s a Good Skate, Charlie Brown_.

Then try thinking of Tom Cruise singing it to Kelly McGillis in the bar in _Top Gun_. 😃

I associate that song with Heath Ledger’s performance in Ten Things I Hate About You.

Every piece in _Fantasia_ is tied to that movie in my mind. Even the Nutcracker Suite, I don’t think Christmas, I think dancing mushrooms.

**Ride of the Valkyries** is either Elmer Fudd (“kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit”) or Apocalypse Now.

The opening bars of The Cars’ _Moving In Stereo_ will always be tied to Phoebe Cates emerging from the pool in slow motion and then… (Fast Times at Ridgemont High)… From the same movie, Led Zeppelin’s \*Kashmir \*, although I mainly associate it with the Led Zeppelin IV/Physical Graffiti error.

Two more, although I’ve only heard them 2 or 3 times outside the movies.

“Jazz Suite, Waltz 2” from _Eyes Wide Shut_

“Down to the River to Pray” from _Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?_

I really meant the song “Didn’t Leave Nobody But the Baby” for \*Oh, Brother \*but hell, most songs from that movie make me think of it.

I was at an orchestra concert a while back, and nearly had to leave to keep from cracking up during the _Barber of Seville_. All I can think of is Bugs and Elmer chasing each other with increasingly large weapons.

And don’t get me started on _Tannhouser_: \*“Oh Bwunhilda, you’re so wuvwy”
“Yes, I know it I can’t help it…”\*And when the music gets to the part with Bugs galloping downhill on an obese horse…

No, no, I can’t go on!

And for me, it’s Mel Gibson and the FBI agent in the SUV, watching Julia Roberts ride her horse, at the end of _Conspiracy Theory_.

That wasn’t Frankie Valli, that was The Righteous Brothers. “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” with dialogue to that effect beforehand.

Maverick: I don’t know, I think she’s lost that lovin’ feelin’.
Goose: She has? No she hasn’t. Has she?
Maverick: Yeah, she has.

Then he grabs a conveniently placed microphone and sings the first verse, and all the aviators in the bar sing along with the chorus, especially the do-dodo-dodo-dodododododo part.

I haven’t seen that film in at least a decade but I remember that with weird vividness.
