It didn’t seem worth mentioning, sort of like “Wabash Cannonball,” or “Beer Run.” Or the theme to _Friends_. I can stand the last one if I’m actually watching a _Friends_ rerun, but there was a summer when it was played over and over on the radio, and it didn’t even need to be played once. ---

How about “Claire” by Gilbert O’Sullivan? That song makes me want to step on small, cute things. **Slithy Tove** , I will try the cover version you suggest - I had Helen Reddy in mind - but the lyrics to that song are so bad, I can’t imagine any version that redeems it. I’m posting before I listen, in case hearing it proves fatal. Speaking of covers, \*\*Freudian Slit \*\*- how about the Devo cover version of Satisfaction? I smile whenever I hear it - it’s like someone saying, “Psst, Mick … this is what a _real_ musician does.” ---

Ozzy’s _Crazy Train_. Oh my god, does every single sports franchise have the rights to this song? Why do I have to hear it at every sporting event I see? NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA… please make it stop. It’s like the kid in the black Ozzy concert t-shirt that dropped out of high school in 84’ and never moved out of his home town suddenly controls the arena’s sound board. ---
