Actually Bad to the Bone is best associated with Al Bundy. I know Married with Children isn’t a movie but… How about the Kingsmen - Louie, Louie linked to Animal House? Sam and Dave - Hold On I’m Coming linked to the Blues Brothers ---

There’s kindof an obscure movie from 1977 with Henry Winkler and Harrison Ford called **Heroes**. I don’t remember any of the details, I just recall that Henry Winkler played a Viet Nam vet who (possibly) escaped from (or voluntarily signed out of) a mental hospital in search of some of his Nam buddies. As I recall, he slowly sunk into despair as his friends, one by one, abandoned him and he couldn’t fulfill his dream of starting (yes, you’re reading it right) a worm farm. I was 16 when I saw it and it was probably a really, really bad movie, but I’ll never forget crying when they rolled the credits while playing _ **Carry On Wayward Son** _ by Kansas. And I _still_ can’t hear that song and not think of that movie. Also, there’s… _ **Up Where We Belong** _ by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes, from _An Officer and a Gentleman_ _ **Take a Look at Me Now** _ by Phil Collins, from _Against All Odds_ and of course, _**Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)**_ by Christopher Cross, from _Arthur_ ---

Also from Animal House: the scene where Steven what’s-his-name is playing guitar on the stairs inside the frat house – the song goes “I bought my love a flower” or something inane like that. I actually met the composer a couple of years ago; he also wrote the theme for Tootsie. He’s sort of odd. ---
