This is probably not true at all as is pertains to hip hop. But I can’t blame someone your age and demographic from minimizing it. ---

It is just that it is very obvious that other than a few of the Old School songs, individual rap songs dont last long- they are quickly replaced by a new song. Kinda Like Pop. Pop will be with us forever, but a lot of Pop songs chart- then disappear. So hip hop _as a genre_ has a big impact. You just are not reading what I posted. ---

It’s not obvious to me, but I see how it might be for you. You have a much better chance of remembering AM rock music from the 60s and 70s because that’s what you grew up with. ---
