Besides soca, try some reggaeton perhaps, it seems to fit the criteria you are looking for. Daddy Yankee is a good ‘safe’ artist to start with and you can also find variouis artist compilation albums fairly cheaply if you want to pick up a couple.
I admit some of Shaggy’s radio stuff is really close to the Rihanna sound. I am obsessed with this, for some reason. ( I don’t like Rihanna at all).
