Just remembered another country one: _You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma_, the duet by David Frizzell and Shelly West.

\*Everyone’s a star here in L.A. County
You oughta see the things that they do
All the cowboys out on the Sunset Strip
Wish that they could be like you.

The Santa Monica Freeway
Sure makes a country girl blue.\*

Ah, so it is. Didn’t realize. Well, Dwight Yoakam does a really nice cover of _Carmelita_ with Flaco Jiminez on accordion. It was on Flaco’s [Partners](http://www.amazon.com/Partners-Flaco-Jimenez/dp/B000002LSD) CD. Worth checking out.

> Forever Changes is the third studio album by the American rock band Love, released by Elektra Records in November 1967.
