I was gambling at the Grand Victoria on Friday, where Loretta Lynn was performing later that night. Thanks to that, I spent the rest of the weekend with the song “Don’t Come Home a-Drinkin’ with Lovin’ On Your Mind” stuck in my head. Dammit. This kept going through my head during a looonnnggg day on the wash rack, as I was scrubbing bug remains off the leading edge of a tanker wing. Do you have any _idea_ how long one of those wings are?! We set a record though, as we washed 60 aircraft the size of a Boeing 707, by hand, in 3 months! For some reason, I frequently get the Pepperridge Farm Goldfish commercial jingle stuck in my head! “gone gold fishin, gone gold fishin” There’s a guy at work that constantly has the jingle to “Sanford and Son” stuck in his head. I think that’s hilarious. We remind each other of the offending material in our heads and thereby switch for a time…gives us variety? ---
