A lot of people apparently think the Green Day song with the line, “I hope you had the time of your life,” is a love song. It is often played at weddings. However, the title is “Good Riddance,” indicating to me that it is a about breaking up with someone. ---

Ms. Palin also used Heart’s “Barricuda” until whoever wrote that song filed a cease-and-desist order. The song is, at least in part, inspired by sexism in the 1970s music community. ---
