When I was 17, I was so in love with a woman, we worked at the same place. I was shy but eventually got the courage to talk to her. And eventually we would walk out to the parking lot after our shift and talk and soon would sit in my car to talk some more and that led to a date. My first date and my first kiss. And then she got fired and would not take my calls. And I’ve never known why. It’s like Joesepth Cotton in Citizen Kane, and the woman he saw and not a month went by for the rest of his life he didn’t think of her. ---
