Some recent and not so recent ones:

Woman Like a Man - Damien Rice
Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand
Lover I Don’t Have to Love - Bright Eyes
The District Sleeps Alone Tonight - the Postal Service
B is for Brutus - the Hives

And that Simple and Clean song that \*\*Stonebow \*\*mentioned up thread is really catchy. Don’t be ashamed. 🙂

The bad thing about liking a song so much that I endlessly put it on repeat is that I inevitably get tired of it, and no longer like it as much as I did when I first heard it. All of the above songs have suffered this disillusionment. I still like the songs, but that “this is such a great song!!” excitement is gone. In the case of songs that have been so overplayed, like Hey Ya - Outkast, will take years for me to like again.

**Anni** , nice list! Especially the Love and Phil Ochs songs. I wouldn’t put “Surf’s Up” on repeat, though. To me, when that one’s over, it’s _done_.

Rebel Heart, by the Corrs. This is truly one of the loveliest pieces of music I’ve ever heard and I don’t seem to tire of it at all.

Teo Torriate by Queen always gets played at least twice.

And, OK, I will admit it - when I’m cleaning house like a lunatic, I sometimes alternate between Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and Love Shack for hours on end. Because, you know, then the duster becomes a microphone…

Lately I keep repeating these five songs. I keep intending to make a playlist of them.

_Whatsername_–Green Day
_Holy Water_–Big & Rich
_Carrying Your Love With Me_–George Strait
_Wrapped Around_–Brad Paisley–it’s that time for wedding songs again.
_Can’t Fight the Moonlight_–LeAnn Rimes–gets me in the mood to write werewolf stories somehow.

El Paso and Feleena by Marty Robbins. Heck, a whole bunch of Marty’s songs honestly. I’ll continuously listen to a few of his CDs over and over.

Pancho and Lefty by Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard

16 Tons by Tennesee Ernie Ford

Big Bad John by Jimmy Dean

Gallo del Cielo by Joe Ely. I’d like to listen to more of his stuff if there as good as this song.

“Sweet Ones” - Sarah Slean
“Day One” - Sarah Slean
“Remedy” - the Black Crowes
“Dream a Little Dream of Me” - Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald
“The Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side” - the Magnetic Fields
“Tangled Up in Blue” - the Indigo Girls, live
“You Wouldn’t Like Me” - Tegan & Sara
“Jesus of Suburbia” - Green Day
“That’ll Be the Day” - Buddy Holly
and any number of early Beatles songs.

And that’s just for this month.
