I can think of quite a few songs that warrant the maxi-blast treatment. Like _Crazy Train_ by Ozzy, _Hell’s Bells_ by AC/DC, and _Blitzkrieg Bop_ by the Ramones. But there is only _one_ song that I refuse to play unless it’s on full blast: _ **What Goes On** _ by the **Velvet Underground**. ---

I’ll second _Locomotive Breath_ by Jethro Tull _The Real Me_ by The Who. God, I love that bass part. And, stay with me here, _I Only Want to Be With You_ by Dusty Springfield. I can’t explain it, but to me it’s a crank-it-up-and-rip-off-the-knob song. ---

Also, the beginning of Don’t Stand so Close to Me '86. It’s the only good part of the song and still not all that great, but it’s only fully appreciated at max volume. ---

The liner notes from the Rolling Stones’ **Sticky Fingers** : “A bit of advice from Jimmy M [producer Jimmy Miller] - Maximum cycle characteristics and frequency response of high decibel level have been set according to standards suggested in the GUY STEVENS Producer Manual, chart R-35, in index, page 304.
