I tried (unsuccessfully) to write a parody in which the guy wasn’t able to let Carrie Underwood know that he’d loaned his truck to his buddy who was back from Afghanistan and wanted to go out with his girlfriend.

And that some unknown person had vandalized the truck in the parking lot of the roadhouse and the soldier friend felt awful about it having happened while he was responsible for it.
