Maybe the person has an attitude that’s completely wrong. Or the life that’s described in the song just plain sucks. Here’s my list: _Creep_ by Radiohead _Doll Parts_ by Hole Explains a lot about Courtney Love _What It’s Like_ by Everlast. Three realistic and depressing vignettes _Novocaine for the Soul_ by Eels… Any others? ---

The guy is miserable whenever she’s gone; he doesn’t know where she went to, why she left, how long she’ll be away, or if she’s ever coming back. I listen to it and think, “Oh, for god’s sake, either sleep with her sister or kill yourself.” ---

Suzanne Vega’s “Luka”-I remember hearing that song in the late 80s and feeling extremely sorry for Luka even though I was barely a tween myself. ---
