The contestants would introduce themselves to the film/tv/music experts with insults, and I always wanted to be a contestant so I could say to the (I think) film expert “Hey, too bad about your failing the audition to replace Lou Gramm in the next Foreigner reunion tour.” (he really did look just like him) ---

I highly, highly doubt it, but it may be the first to use autotune as an intentional effect rather than normal pitch correction. ETA: From what I can quickly research, it seems Auto-Tune was released in spring1997 and was being used in studios for pitch correction, and it was in October 1998 that it was used first with exaggerated settings as an effect with Cher’s “Believe.” ---

A rumor got started that this song was actually by “Weird Al” Yankovic, something he vehemently denied. When I gathered up the courage to actually watch the video/hear that “song”, I knew immediately that it couldn’t be, because it was loaded with profanity. ---

Central IN people should be familiar with WFBQ. Back around new year’s, they decided to play their whole playlist (yeah, right- they played stuff they hadn’t played in years) in alphabetical order. The best thing about this? They went from Monday through Friday without being able to play “Turn the Page” three times a day! If I never hear that song again, it will be too soon. ---

Albums to take a giant mallet to include Dave Edmunds’ second solo album, _Subtle as a Flying Mallet_, wherein he covers '50s and '60s oldies in an attempt to recreate period sound. Unfortunately the results are often murky, and poor Dave sounds like he’s performing in the bottom of a barrel. ---
