My dad sings this to my cat to the tune of “Memories” Cat brains I am nibbling on cat brains They are grey and they’re lumpy Though they are rather small Oh, cat brains make lov-er-ly li-itle hors d’eouvres better than dog brains Which don’t exist at all sorry for whatever spelling errors: I’m not exactly sure how to spell hors d’e-whatevers, so I just stuck in as many vowels as I thought the word could hold. ---

How appropriate this thread gets revived this time of year. **danceswithcats** posted this one in another thread: Said the tom cat to the little Fuzz “Do you see what I see? Sung to “Don’t cry for me Argentina” as my cat scrabbles up the kitchen cupboards, in the vain belief this will get his food into the bowl quicker. Don’t cry for tea Alexander, The truth is that here’s your whiskas, All your miaouing, your wild persistance! You’ll get your cat food – just keep your distance… ---

It’s probably a hijack, but we sing ferret carols. “Christmas is coming, the ferret’s getting fat Please put a raisin in the weasel’s hat! If you haven’t got a raisin, Then a cheerio will do, If you haven’t got a cheerio then what good are you?” And the classic “He’s here, the ferret of the opera! The Fer-----ret of the Opera is here…beneath…my bed.” And, of course, “Wea-sels, wea-sels, Rock You!” ---

I thought I was the only one who did this. here are two songs of many I sang to my late cat, Sis (may she rest in peace): (To the tune of “Do Re Mi”): “Sis, a cat, A female cat, Sis, a drop of golden sun, Sis, a name, I call my cat…” and my favorite (thank you, Eurythmics): “Sweet dreams are made of Sis, Who is Sis to disagree?
