“Lodi” by CCR, about the small city of Lodi, California. “Allentown” by Billy Joel, about the city in Pennsylvania. “Jackson” by Billy Edd Wheeler (but probably the cover by Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash is better known) about the capital of Mississippi. “China Grove” by The Doobie Brothers. It’s not really about the small town in Texas, but it was inspired by the placename. ---
