I’ll start with the obvious, \*\*Friends in Low Places \*\* by Garth Brooks has got to be the most overplayed song on most jukeboxes I’ve had the misfortune to hear. \*\*Rock you like a Hurricane \*\* by the Scorpions inspires way too many people to pick up a pool cue and start playing air guitar. What other songs would you eliminate from the typical bar jukebox? ---

Anything by Clay Aiken - his songs make the drunk middle-age women stand up and try to dance. Interestingly, however, the bar where I saw this occur is now closed. ---

If I were in charge of bar jukebox enforcement, I would place strict limits on everything sung by Hank Williams Jr., including his fake duet with the late, great Hank Sr., “There’s a Tear in My Beer.” ---

“Born to be Wild”. Every wannabe biker and scab-hag has to play it till it wears out. Related funny story: A place I used to drink had Eat a Peach on the box. I would play “Mountain Jam” once or twice a night. Had to make sure I got my moneys worth. 😉 ---

“Bad to the bone” by George Thorogood and the Destroyers. Why is it whom ever plays this song must pose by the jukebox like they are such hot stuff. I know this is a little dated but a few years ago any time I heard that “You and me baby ain’t nothin’ but mammels/so let’s do it like they do on the Discovery chanel” song I would throw stuff. ---

**I Love This Bar** by _Toby Keith_ I DESPISE this song. This was played more than anything else when I had my previous bartending job. Now I only hear it when someone is brave enough (read-drunk enough) to sing it during karaoke and that is surprisingly seldom. ---
