Kodak was pissed when Kodachrome came out. However, attitudes about copyright infringement vs. free advertising had changed and Polaroid was thrilled when Hey Ya was released. Of course, Polaroid had already filed for bankruptcy at that point. No that didn’t answer the question, nor do I have a citation (it was told to me by a former employee of one of the companies). ---
