**The Theme to the Banana Splits Show**

_Four banana, three banana, two bananas, one
All bananas playing in the bright warm sun,
Flipping like a pancake, popping like a cork,
Fleagle, Bingo, Drooper and Snork_

Which lists the original, er, **Banana Splits** band members.

_Hold On_
\*\*
Alabama Shakes\*\*

Bless my heart,
Bless my soul,
Didn’t think I’d make it to twenty-two years old.
There must be someone up above saying
Come on **Brittany** ,
You got to come on up,
You got to hold on.
Yeah you got to hold on.

So many examples covered and not covered here.

Wham mentions themselves several times, IN “Wham Rap(Enjoy What You Do)”, “Everything She Wants”. George Michael mentions his own name in the lyrics of “Young Guns”, whereas Andrew Ridgeley is mentioned in the extended version of “I’m Your Man”. “He’s brave, he’s tough, Mr. Ridgeley do your stuff.”

Jennifer Lopez mentions herself in “Jenny From the Block”.

The four members of Queen are mentioned throughout “Invisible Man”-Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Brian May and Roger Taylor.

I was actually planning on starting this thread, so I’ll come e up with other examples.
