Oh, all right.

The Residents have a song called “La La” on _The Commercial Album_. It’s very short (as are all the tracks thereon) and the lyrics are all “la la (etc.)”.

As for _Jersey Girl_ as previously mentioned, Holly Cole has a good version of it on her _Temptation_ CD.

And of course there’s the Teletubbies theme – “Tinky Winky! Dipsy! **La La**! Po!” 😉

_La la Means I Love You_, Todd Rundgren’s version.

_I la la la love you_ by Pat Travers. Great fucking song.

Heywood Banks (I think) has a funny song called “Dead Guys”:

"I am older than a lot of famous dead guys,
A lot of famous dead guys
Didn’t live as long as me…

La la la la la-la-la la la la lahhhh…"

…there’s “Largo al factotum” from _The Barber of Seville_ (although some of the passages are actually “La ran la”).

I only vaguely remember the Banana Splits, but I did grow up watching Sesame Street. With all the Muppet fans around here, why is it that I’m the first one to mention [Sing](http://home.istar.ca/~townsend/pop_standards/sing_lyrics.htm)? Some versions of Joe South’s [Games People Play](http://www3.clearlight.com/~acsa/introjs.htm?/~acsa/songfile/GAMESPEO.HTM) has “And you don’t give a la duh da duh da.” instead of “And you don’t give a damn.” It appears [Dolly](http://digilander.iol.it/lerenti/lyrics/full/p/parton_dolly/dolly220.html) recorded a version missing that part of the verse but has additional la-las in the chorus.

Ohhh…there go those 50 points again! Only the Weird Al parody has the phrase “La la la” in it…the original lyrics are in Spanish and go something like

“Para bailar la Bamba,
Para bailar la Bamba
Se necisita una poco de gracia…”

No multiple "la"s in a row in the entire song.

Many many lonely nights go by, I sit at home alone and I cry over you. What can I do. Don’t want no one else cause “Baby It’s you” by the Shirelles, also redone by the Beatles.

There’s a lot of **Bérurier Noir** songs with la la la in them. One example is [Vivre libre ou mourir](http://www.multimania.com/luke2/hard/beru_concerto.html#vivr). I must warn you that some of their lyrics can be pretty gruesome. Great music, though!
